Project Description
On September 20, 2023, 173 visually impaired families within the blind community received generous support from Holland, including food kits, personal hygiene items, and brand new clothes. Collaborating closely with the Organization of the Ukrainian Society of the Blind, our team strives to positively impact their lives. Bi-weekly visits ensure the delivery of essential supplies, embodying the belief that serving others is a form of serving God. Crafting care packages for the visually impaired, each weighing 15 kilograms and containing canned foods, pasta, sweet bread, and rice, brings us immense joy.
Recognizing the heightened challenges faced by those with disabilities during emergencies, we aim to alleviate their struggles. During distribution of the care packages, winter clothing, and rice packages from Feed the Hunger a woman expressed profound gratitude, emphasizing that we were the sole source of assistance when no one else was willing to help. Such heartfelt moments reinforce our commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of these individuals. We extend our thanks to Friese Rijders voor Oekraine for their continuous provision of food, supplies, and clothing to the people of Ukraine.
