Marvelous Christmas Celebration

This year about 600 children celebrate Christmas was us, thank you to everyone who was part of this astonishing program. We visited 5 orphanages, 1 handicap orphanage/school and a church on Dovzhenka. We preformed a Christmas skit, sang songs, read poems, played games, had small groups, photo shoot, cotton candy and presents!

Looking at the children faces when they were watching the Christmas skits was spectacular! All the children thanked us for giving them a wonderful Christmas this year.

When we were leaving they wanted to know when we would come back and visit them again. Please continue to pray for the orphan ministry!

SMALL GROUPS

We wanted to provide a small group environment so we would involve children and engage them in discussions and to be more effective and efficient. Younger children loved listening to the bible story, singing and playing games. We spoke with the directors and teachers in the orphanages before hand and asked what is one of the concerns they have with the kids “now”. One of the orphanages had problem with the children stealing, so we decided to have a lesson with “why” and “what” are the consequences and how to over come it. Other orphanages we had volunteers tell their testimonies and stories and bible lessons.

Also the volunteers talked more in depth about Christmas and why we celebrate Jesus birthday!
