Open Door Foundation Ukraine is supporting a rehabilitation center in western Ukraine, in Horodyshche. The center is designed to provide a rehabilitation program and a center where the individual may be able to adapt to a positive place in society. The center will give the individual the opportunity to obtain the necessary help to avoid substance abuse, and to be productive citizens and individuals, both emotionally and spiritually.
The rehabilitation center is presently on a farm that has been generously donated by a pastor and friend of Open Door Foundation Ukraine. This location has been designed to help the person who is in need of a rehabilitation program to be able to learn how to refine old skills and how to develop additional skills centered around operating a farm. The center will be a place where an individual, as well as the group, will help to mold a person’s character for the future.
Working on a farm and taking care of farm animals has proven to be a significant way of helping an individual to overcome addiction and/or substance abuse through work therapy.
This center needs your help financially. You can be a lifeline for people struggling to pay for the treatment that they desperately need. The work has now begun to remodel the farmhouse in the village of Horodyshche for the rehabilitation center.
