We visited 8 orphanage’s this year. It was a blessing to be able to get children’s bibles this year for the Christmas celebration for orphans in Ukraine. The children were very enthusiastic when they opened their gifts and found a bible inside. Many of the children started to read the bibles immediately. They enjoyed observing the beautiful illustrations in the bibles, and looking at the wonderful and bright colors. Thank you again for making this happen and for putting a smile on a child’s faces.

During Christmas for Orphans in Ukraine, we prepared about 690 gifts. They included apples, tangerines, banana, oranges, sweet corn sticks, a pen, a pencil note pad, coloring book, children bibles and a winter hat. Each present was in a Christmas bag. Our volunteers prepared a play about the story of Christmas.

Then the team visited eight orphanages in Hrymailiv, Nove Selo (the children have problems with their physical or mental development), and two in Ternopil city, Yabloniv, Ternopil Handicap School (the children have problems with their physical), Berezhani and Infant Orphanage.

Also, we had the opportunity to have 2 villages come to Ternopil and we celebrated Christmas with them as well.

Personal Time with the Children

We wanted to provide a small group environment so we would involve children and engage them in discussions and to be more effective and efficient. Younger children loved listening to the bible story, singing and playing games.
