Berezhani, Hrymailiv, Nove Selo and Yabloniv Orphanages

Brown-orange leaves represent autumn season in Ukraine. While driving to the orphanages, what an astonishing sight of clouds overlap each other, the trees with incredible colors, red, orange, brown, and yellow. The weather is a little chilly, playing outside with the children and enjoying the bright, beautiful leaves, what a lovely occasion.

It has been a very effective months, we were able to go to the orphanages every week. The directors are very open for us to come. We are having a remarkable time: bible lessons, crafts, story telling, singing, playing games and just spending time with them.

Helping children to know and understand the love their Heavenly Father has for them. To share the love and grace of Christ, and make an eternal difference in the live of individual child.

Tree of “Thankfulness”

Nove Sole Orphanage 10/2014

Had an amazing time and it was such a blessing. This months craft was a fall tree; the kids wrote what they were thankful for. The first graders drew pictures; some had help from their teachers.

The older kids from 6th through 11th grade had a bible lesson that was taught by Nadia. Continue to pray for the children, what they have heard and seen that it would be rooted in their hearts.

A little boy was holding my hand the entire time that I was at the orphanage in Nove Sole. After finishing the crafts he looks up and say “mommy” to me. My heart melted that very moment.

Berezhani Orphanage 10/2014

Want an amazing time we had at Berezhani orphanage. We decided to have three stations, first station was bible lesson and stories from the bible. Second station was craft; children wrote on a piece of paper what they were thankful for. We called the tree “thankfulness”. The third station was games, as always, kids enjoyed the time running around and having a great time.

Each child had a chance to be part of each lesson, play and do crafts. At the end we gave out clothing, shoes, jackets for the winter and sunflower seeds; all that was donated to us.

Hrymailiv Orphanage 10/2014

We had an incredible time at Hrymailiv orphanage, we were blessed to have a church donate to us a children’s activity book called “Your Book of Life”. Oksana had 1st and 4th graders and the first lesson we had was the creation of the world.
Nadia had the opportunity to share with the 9th-10th graders. We have invested into the children’s bible and Christian children’s literature; we have passed out to the kids that were eager to learn God’s word. We are going to be starting bible class/lesson in depth with the older children at the orphanages. PLEASE pray for wisdom and the right resources for the lessons.

We also had the opportunity to have the entertainers with “Vunderkinder” come with us and amuse and play with the children as well. It was a blessed time. Please continue to pray for the orphan ministry. So, God can give us wisdom and more volunteers.

Yabloniv Orphanage 10/2014

We had a great opportunity to be able to go to Yabloniv orphanage. We had four additional volunteers that came with us to Yabloniv orphanage. Nadia was involved with the Bible studies, Maryana was involved in the crafts, Oksana was reading a Bible story with questions and answers and Irena was involved with the games.

What an amazing drive and just the scenery of the beautiful white snow just lying on the fields.
Finally had a chance to take a picture of the orphanages watchdog.
